Thanks for your post. There are a lot of sites out there that don't make as much sense about detox, so that's refreshing. I've got a similar website myself, so will keep popping back to see what else you've posted.

Just wanted to say:
1) Sorry its taken so long to reply! My darn system is acting odd, hoping the update means I dont miss comments!.
2) Thank you so very very much for sharing your story. I will look into Dr. Colbert for sure. Due to unemployment I have no access to dental care (covered care) and the teeth are no better. I really am to the point where I would not mind removal. No one needs to hear the woes! I can tell you that when I bought a lottery ticket recently one of my biggest fantasies was to be able to go to the dentist, sick huh? All my labs came back 100% normal. I dont have the budget to see a natural doc and do testing to dig deeper so for now, it is what it is (like it always is!)

Thanks again for sharing!

Oh my goodness! So good to have confirmation of a somewhat similar experience.

I too have a ton of almalgam (probably not as much now since crowns now replace some of them). I was about 42 when I developed the bone-jarring
fatigue you described. I felt like I was being sucked into the middle of the earth. My lab work was fine (basic lab work only. Tsh, total iron, metabasic. All fine. Tried different anti-depressants (depression runs heavy in my family. Welbutrin seemed to help some.

I managed to get through my days (worked (and still do) as a floor nurse in a med-surg unit. My house became a wreck. Of course, I kept
searching for answers. The answer came in a book by Don Colbert MD.
I followed his detox regimen which included chlorella, fish oil, n-acetylcystine, milk thistle and other things. I found after six months my energy level was much improved (Halloween, the six months marker, was proof of improvement...I hopped up at each knock on the door to dispense candy! Previous Halloweens the door was not answered. I laid on the couch or was in bed early.). I continued these supplements until the last year. My fatigue returned two or three months ago.

I started lab work again. Everything normal except my estrogen and Fsh level. My doctor put me on estradiol. This helped my hot flashes but my overwhelming fatigue remained. Had this bright idea of visiting my chiropractor and mentioning my concerns about amalgam. He did a urine test (with a provoking agent). Turns out my mercury and lead levels are high. (This test was only 69.00 through Doctors Data
Lab). He suggested I have my amalgams removed (by a dentist who uses special safety techniques) and then he would start oral chelation. He said I could safely use broken cell wall cholrella to remove the accumulated mercury from my system. I then realized the previous detox (in 2004) had done just that!

So right now I am back on my previous detox plus cilantro. I am looking for a good cilantro supplement to simplify things. I also am doing dry sauna (gym membership).

I have also had a 24 hour urine done (without a provacative agent). I do not expect this to show anything but I wanted the lab work to compare with the previous. I am going to have another urine (with a provacative agent) done when I start feeling better and after I have the fillings removed I am going to have another test done (I believe it will show a sudden increase of mercury in my system) and then after the chelation therapy I will do another test. The tests are only 69.00. I guess I am doing my own study.

I hope my story gives hope to others!
