Dear Nika:

Also, I don't know if you have tried being vegetarian/raw and vegan (the latter two little by little to help you ease into the change). I used to have an incredible amount of fatigue, and going vegetarian helped me tremendously. I am now trying to have more energy and better health by eating more raw, and only rarely have dairy or eggs (free-range when possible both for health and humanitarian reasons--for the latter view on YouTube "Meet your Meat" if you haven't already. It will change the way you look at food options.)

I hope you and everyone else does look into being vegetarian/vegan to change our health woes.

With love,

Hi Nika,

I LOVE your blog, it's honestly one of the best one I've seen yet. You have a very talented eye for photography as well. Did you build your site yourself or did you have someone do it for you? If so I'd love to have the contact.

Thanks so much!

Looks delicious! I just came across your site, wonderfully put together I might add!! I just received an eggplant in my organic delivery box today, so I'm about to give it a whirl. I need a chipolte chile though!

I made the recipe and I am sad to say it did not turn out as expected. I am wondering if after the salting and sweating of the eggplant I was supposed to rinse off the excess salt because it is so salty it is inedible. At this point the only thing I can think of is to grind it up and use it as a seasoning :( Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi!
Your cookie recipe looks delicious. I can't wait to try. But I'm wondering, did you soak and germinate the sunflower and pumpkin seeds before adding them to the dough? And have you ever tried adding chocolate to this recipe? I'd bet that would work as well. Thanks so much for posting. I've been looking for a raw cookie recipe without nuts to replace my current cooked cookie favorite and yours looking promising.

Your site is gorgeous. So happy I stumbled upon it. What really caught my attention was your need to avoid nuts in a raw food diet. I'm in the same boat and it's difficult to get creative with some of the desserts, especially if nuts aren't an option.

I started a raw food diet in January and I understand what you mean about the cold sensitivity. I'm actually looking forward to a balmy summer for a change.

Your raised garden beds look lovely.
